Meet Our People
Oleksandr Sokolovsky, Founder, Architect, Builder, Artist A 25 year veteran of architectural and remodeling industry, Oleksandr spent his entire professional life designing and building houses for families in Maryland, District of Columbia, and beyond. Oleksandr Sokolovsky received his architectural degree from the University of Architecture and Build in Kiev, (1981-1987), University of Arts and Crafts of Kiev (1970-1975). He was the principal designer for many architectural competitions. After years of collaboration with various contractors as an architect and designer, SOKOL Design-Build Group, LLC was formed to accommodate the increasing demand for design-build business model. By providing architectural design and construction services under one roof, Oleksandr positioned the company for long-term success thanks to growing number of delighted clients.
Yuriy Sokolovsky, Co-founder, Project Manager A graduate of Salisbury University with Bachelor of Business degree, Yuriy held jobs as a painter and carpenter's helper as early as in high school. With a passion to manage and grow the family business, Yuriy joined the SOKOL Design-Build Group upon his graduation in 2007. Together with is father Oleksandr he is heading the extended family that is the SOKOL Design-Build Group in bringing fresh ideas and innovative solutions to the remodeling industry.
Iryna Sokolovska, Office Manager, Accountant The "queen of behind the scenes" work, Iryna makes the smooth running of SOKOL Design-Build Group possible. Her bookkeeping and office management experience is an integral part of the family business. When she joined the company almost a decade ago, when is was an architectural design firm, she never expected it to grow so rapidly and become a full service design-build company it is now. She is also a fantastic cook, but that is besides the point!
Dimitri Sokolovsky, Advertising, IT Manager A University of Maryland graduate, Dimitri is a youngest son in the Sokolovsky family. With his Bachelor of Science in software engineering Dimitri is a recent addition to the family business. With his knack for everything computer and software-related, he is taking the traditional approach to a small business model to the next level with pin-point advertising and innovative software solutions.
Our Services include, but are not limited to: Residential architectural design (from concept to permit drawings), design-building and remodeling service, all types of interior design. Our Potential Clients: Customers with appreciation for refined architectural design, as well as building companies that value own professional image. Our Philosophy: The talent of the architect always relies on the talent of the client.
